Me: Mrs. Cam
I'm a thirty something mom, wife and Social Worker. I love my boys, coffee, taking pictures, writing, going on hikes with my guys, running (when I find the time), laughing, Twix, doing anything as a family of 5, spending time with our very close extended family, and dancing (but only in the crazy/silly, in the family room with my boys way. I have no actual dance skills). I like to think I'm a pretty fun and easy going mom. But I am constantly fighting the obsessively organized and structured being that lives deep within me. Most days the fun, easy-going me wins out. I hate whining, people who ask if I'm going to "try for a girl," and black licorice. I'm a mostly stay at home mom. When I worked full time I worked with children with chronic and terminal illnesses and their families. Being with these families in their darkest hour was the greatest privilege of my life, besides being wife to Matt and Mom to Ryan, Zachary, and Connor. I only do a little speaking and consulting on the sides these days, but being a Social Worker is such a core part of who I am that I will always identify as a Social Worker, whether I am working or not. Thanks for dropping by and getting to know The Cam Fam.
Mr. Cam
He's an amazing Dad who loves his wife, his kids, and his job. We love his job too because it's close to home and doesn't take him away from us too much. When he isn't spending quality time with us or working he can be found reading, listening to music, or trying to enjoy the quiet (that rarely exists in our home before the hours of 8:30 p.m. or after 6 a.m.).
Ryan
He's our oldest and a sensitive soul. He's also an energetic, curious, out-going, thoughtful, and fun-loving boy. He loves with his whole body, heart, and soul. He takes his role as big brother quite seriously. He can often be found bossing Zachary around or snuggling Connor. He loves running, jumping, being with family, trains, space, and playing board games. He's not a fan of little brothers when they touch his stuff. Otherwise, he thinks they're pretty cool.
Zachary
He's our second-born (am I the only one who doesn't like the term "middle child" and all the assumptions that come with it?) and as impish as he appears in this picture. We're still getting to know him as his language is developing more and more every day. He is kind and lovable, and very much a Mama's boy. He ADORES his big and little brothers. He loves trains, anything sweet (especially lollipops!), and he HATES haircuts. Connor
He's our third, and at only 4.5 months old we're getting to know him more and more every day. He smiles constantly, clearly wants to join his brothers in their crazy antics, and he loves looking at himself in the mirror.
